Trying to improve my jumping ability

(CLICK HERE here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi, recently I am getting more involved in basketball and realise the importance of having a good jumping ability. So I was wondering, what kind of training/exercises will be good choices for me to improve my ability in terms of jumping not only HIGHER, but also jumping FURTHER as well?

Thanks!

A form of training that utilizes fast eccentric contractions followed by explosive concentric contractions. It includes such practices as bounding, one legged hops, depth jumping, etc, and certain forms of medicine ball work.

ya gotta love those old farm boys, 3000 hay bales a day for 2 weeks on end and throw in some calf carring will make you a tad stronger then the city kids.

Hey skyliner I'm glad your admitting the ignorant thingy cause if you didn't ask the question, I was going to and then GP would have jumped all over me if I used the words "me" and "ignorance" in the same sentence. hahahahaha
