I see alot of posts from people who think they might have a site infection. How many people have actually got an infection from gear or are we all just paranoid?

Everyone I know that got an actual bacterial abscess, got it from water based products. Personally, knock on wood, hundreds of injections over many years and no abscesses.
Water based products, specifically from UGLs scare the shit out of me.

i agree water is base is problem, i know a person who used heroin for 3 years same needle everyday just rinsed with water, no alcohol prep ever not one infection until he used h he made up the day before, it sat in water for 24hrs allowing bacteria to grow it caused the dreaded cotton fever, which is not from the actual cotton but from bacteria on the cotton, anyhow no it wasnt from the cotton cause he didnt filter, so for everyone whose all worried bout infection and prepping with alcohol still do this but this just goes to show how unlikely that ur bad injection practice actually cause infection, its bacteria in the water, most prods use alcohol in them so most likely not gonna have to worry but still guys be safe ok practice safe injection techniques and safe sex lol

I had an infection once, now I keep a large supply of anti-biotics on hand just in case.

Never once for me. Im in this game a long time. I make extra sure to keep all areas of injecting clean. From my oils to the site of inject.
Now that im done bragging i prob going to get one.

Never once had an infection but I have had some really painful lumps after injecting that lasted for days.

I had one of those. That was very painful. I think it was from not going deep enough.

Mine was from high dosed mg/ml gear. It happened like 15 times. The stuff was brutal to shoot.

Yeah, mine was too. It got to where it was bearable, but I'll never run high concentration again.

These were the kind of responses I figured I would get. You see guys post about painful lumps and warm injection sites all the time. Was just curious how many were actually infections.

I was pinning my right pec once and I have no idea how this happened but apparently as I was pushing oi in, l I was pulling the needle out ever so slightly until I realized that I was pinning just under the skin probably a 1/2ml too..man, now THAT was painful. That pain lasted a good 2-3 weeks. Of course as time when on the pain lessened, but Da-Damn! That suuucked..
