While I was at the gym this morning I noticed this guy working out (NO, not like that) and the whole time I was on the treadmill warming up (5 min) and the whole time I was working shoulders (30 min) and when I started doing Bi's and Tri's... this guy was supersetting Bi's and Tri's!
He did like 4 different exercises for each and like 3 sets each! Think he over did it???

Before starting GOPROS workout, I would have said NO at least not for me. My body has grown accustomed to high volume. It's really an individual thing. For most, I'd say yes it's over training or at minimum not required to do that many sets. I'm curious, How big were his arms? If he has 19 inch arms or better I'd tell him not to change a thing. If they are 14-15 then hell yea he is over training.

One of my old workouts looked like this:
Straight bar curls
1 x 12 x 95
1 x 10 x 115
1 x 08 x 135
1 x 06 x 155
1 x 4-6 x 165
Alt DB curls
4 sets pyramiding up to last set: 1x4x75
Hammer curls
3 x 6-10 x pyramiding 50,60,65
Concentration curls
3 x 8-12 x 40
Total 13 working sets. My arms were 19 1/4 inches give or take an 1/8th

Good luck Mudge cause I'm not their anymore bro. note I used the words "old workouts"?? My arms are no where near that big anymore. I posted my last up to date arm workout in my journal to see where I'm at now. Don't look for it to be better than the one above. quite the opposite. hahahaha

I do 5-7 sets for triceps and about 4 sets for biceps, so I dont do much for em

Everyone has a different threshhold for training. If that guy can do all those supersets, recover well enough from the workout and grow than good for him (lucky S.O.B.). Some people just recover faster than others.

Yeah, its hard to say, it would depend on what his whole routine was if he was overtraining, some people do respond better to high volume and maybe he was trying to "shock" his arms.
If he was doing this EVERY week and wasn't on gear, I would wonder though.

I wouldn't wonder Scotty because gear or not you can't keep up that level for extended periods of time.
