As of today they are only one point out of the top 3 in the conf. Lets hope they keep it together long enough to secure a playoff spot.

Having Recci play point on the power play looks like a GREAT move. My question is, why don't they have one of those big ass trucks parked right in front of the goal. That's how Lindros and Leclaire made there money for YEARS, what happened? Yeah, Leclaire will be back in a couple of weeks but why can't somebody else do the same thing? We'd kill them on points off rebounds.

Posted by: seyone

I agree with you. they have guys like Primeau and Brashear that can take up a lot of space in front of hte net. its actually not unusual to see Recchi playing the point on the PP. I think their biggest problem with the power play is the lack of a point man with a big shot. I wouldn't be suprised to see them shopping around before the trade deadline for a D man that can put the puck in the net.
having Leclair back will be great, he started off the season on fire. Gagne should be back soon also. Hopefully he can get somthing going.

Posted by: ALBOB

I'm not holding out much hope for Gagne this season. Once you have a groin injury it's there to stay for a loooooong time. He obviously didn't learn the first time, hopefully he won't do any permanent damage by coming back too soon.

I heard a trade rumor yesterday saying that Gagne (if healthy) and Jeff woywitka (Sp?) and maybe a 3rd round draft pick for Iginla.

Posted by: seyone

OH they say Justin Williams might be ready to play in time for the playoffs.

How old is Iginla? Hopefully we're not looking at trading away the future for a possible NOW.

Yeah, but will he be in game shape?

Posted by: seyone

Iginla is pretty young

He is 25. The dude scored four goals the other night in a 4-2 win. He's not even near his prime yet. If the Flyers have a chance to get him, they should go for it.

I once scored five goals in a 5-4 OT win.
