I value the opinions of the people in these forums and I would like to have some opinions thrown my way please.
First my stats are (laughable at best)
January 01, 2003:
441 lbs
bodyfat >40% im sure
5' 8"
(yeah I know dang, what went wrong here? 10 years of good living)
As of Today 3/02/03:
380 lbs
<40% bodyfat (too large for calipers but I am not losing much in the way of shoulder width and flexed bicep size)
still 5'8"

Diet consist of: (average day)
8AM Breakfast- bowl of oatmeal w/ tbs of protein powder and skim milk

9AM workout

1030AM protein shake w/ skim milk

1230 PM 8oz lean steak, 2 cups string beans, small baked potatoe

3PM protein shake w/skim milk

530 2 small chicken breasts, 2 cups cauliflower

730 protein shake w/water

1 1/2 gallons of water a day (more or less)
ON WEEKENDS I ADD ANOTHER 100-200 GRAMS OF CARBS FOR SYSTEM SHOCK

I workout with weights 5 days a week (1 bodypart a day)
I do cardio 4-5 times a week at 30 mins each session.

Supplements are protein, multi vit, creatine

Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
"Big D"

I would change your workouts from a bodybuilding style (one bodypart per day) to more of a fat loss style such as cirsuit training.

I would personally recommend weights 4 times per week.....upper body circuit, lower body circuit, REST, upper, lower, REST, etc....

Circuits are great for getting the benefits of strength training as well as a good cardiovascular workout at the same time.

Fit Freak
My lifting partner was just saying that we should switch in April to something more circuit like.
I believe I will plan our April workout in this fashion, That would also include cardio on days same as when working out? or still 5 days a week?

I don't know enough yet to feel like I can give you any advice. The people here are knowledgeable and truly good people...take to heart what they say...well most of them. If you are here very long you will see who to listen to. Just stick with it and let the people here help you.

Good luck!

Thanx! Yeah...they are expensive. I have to have mine done in pieces...it helps that I am very good friend with the tattoo artist. He doesn't do them for free, but he gives me a good deal. I send him a lot of work, too!

I agree.

And think you need more veggies....and think your calories are too low. I'd suggest adding a little healthy fat to each meal, not only to aid in getting enough calories, but also to help control insulin, which will make fat loss easier.

like flax? Or efa supps?
I dont think i could each much more in a day. By the last shake its all I can do to choke that down.

Yep....flax seed oil would be the best choice...just throw it in your shake, you'll never notice it

w8lifter,
I was just on your site and you are absolutely breath taking!!
I love muscular women. My wife disagrees on that with me and I quote: ("fitness girls are ok, but those bodybuilders are just ugly")however, Yaxeni Oriquen is my favorite female bodybuilder!! I will admit some can't pull the muscular look off. but some can really make it look great!! And you do a great job at it!!

I notice it but you get use to it.

If you're looking for some advice on putting your circuits together ....I'd be more than willing to give some input!

As w8 said...just add some flax oil to the shakes and you won't have to 'EAT' any additional food. As for the taste...you shouldn't notice it much BUT never make the mistake of doing what I did once...using garlic flax oil.....take my word for it....aweful!

Fit Freak,
I'd take any advice I can get, never did to much studying on the circuit workouts. What do you reccomend as far as sets and reps?
If you need to email me at dennyd@dcweblink.net
thanks

Fit Freak,
Sounds good, I appreciate all the help. I finally want this so bad after being obese most of my life. I've tried so many times and this time I am truly dedicated. I really want to do a show in 5 years or so too.
