Does this really aid in weight loss? Or just more hype...I was thinking of taking this and ALA.

Try it and see what happens.
You'd be better off trying acetyl-l-carnitine.
But don't expect miracles.
Nothing that the ALA won't be doing anyway. Most think carnitine is bunk.
