Sharp Pain (Males only, please!)

I tried to search for this, but had trouble. I put this here b/c there is nowhere good to put it and I figure this forum is more "male" than any other.

During my workout the other day, I started noticing a pain in one of my...well...balls. It felt as though it was just above it. I just got back from a 12 hour of driving in 24 hours and it seems to be worse. It is almost like there is a rubber band around the 'tube' and it seemed to be riding much higher than normal and definately higher than the other.

This is somewhat embarrassing but any ideas? I had a vasectomy 2 years ago. I doubt that is relavent, but the pain clearly reminds me of the feeling I had during that procedure.

Actually there are number of things...from hernia to torsion, infection to cancer, etc

..and there is a strong possibility of inflamed nerve tissue from the vasectomy.......I would consult your health care provider

Sure. I just figured most women don't want to read about my particular problem.

So far, none of the options sound like this problem has a chance of just going away.

Ice.....lol

Ibuprofen if so inclined, but checking on it is the best prevention!

Would you go to the primary Dr. (who is a woman and very good, but ...yikes! not the sort of thing I wanna discuss with a woman. Maybe I need to grow up ) or to the doctor who did the V?

Don't take NSAIDs if your going, they will mask the pain and make the diagnosis more difficult!
