I don't know. up unitil this year I was his biggest suporter. I have never seen a goalie be so good one night and horrible the next. during the past 2 regular seasons he was among the best goalies in the league . last year I believe he was the vezina runner up. I do however agree that it is his time to go.
I hope the Flyers can find a top goalie. I dont believe Esche can do the job.

That's precisely why I dislike him so much. A good goalie is a CONSISTANT goalie; regular season, playoffs, whatever. He could make some of the most spectacular saves known to man and then let in a short-handed dribbler from the blue line. It was infuriating. I'll go so far as to blame some of the teams offensive woes on him. Depite their big talk, I don't think they ever felt comfortable with him back there and for that reason they couldn't put 100% into the offensive part of the game. (I'll freely admit that I could be wrong on that count.)

I completely agree, unfortunately I'm not impressed with the names mentioned in the article. Of the list I'd lean toward Khabibulin.
