............what do you think about Annika Sorrenstam playing in a PGA tournament? A lot of the guys seem pissed. Do they really think "she's taking a spot away from someone who earned it" or are they just scared they might get beaten by a girl? I like Fuzzy Zoeller, but I saw an interview with him this morning and he was acting completely childish. It was embarrassing.

it bothers me because it is just a a dumb stunt. she isn't doing it because she feels she will be able to be competative with the men. she just wants to make an name for herself.
Let the men play in the womens tournement, and see how many people have a problem with that.

If you listen to her point of view that's not true.

I don't agree with this quote, as much as I don't agree with her playing in the men's tour, she has more than proven that she is the elite on the women's tour, and her trying at the men's tour is a chance to get superior competition and grow her game. There could be some serious backlash from it though. What if she gets smoked what will this do for the LPGA, it will obviously be viewed as a much lesser quality golf.

Well, since she is not the first woman to play in the PGA, I feel like if everyone would just calm down and look at it for what it really is, it wouldn't be such a big deal. She is a great golfer. Let her see if she can hang with the men. If she does, Good for the golf world, if she is not able to hang with the men, then that would prove a point. Since she was invited to play in this upcomming tourny, It's not going to go away.

Well it's a given, she won't be able to compete to win, but she will beat some of the men out of a spot. And this is what all the crap is about! Can you imagine being the first guy out of making the cut because of her if she makes the cut?? His name will be plastered everywhere! I think if she can compete, I think she should play!

I say let her play with the guys. Then let a few of them (guys) enter some LPGA tourneys and win a few of their paychecks and this politically correct bs might come to and end.

Of course I'm not opinionated or anything. I just believe there are associations for men, women, and both. Live with it.

I don't have a problem with a woman playing in the PGA tour if she earns her spot. From what I have heard though, she got into this tournament because of her sponsors, not because she qualified. I've got a problem with that. Sure, she gets low scores, but she hits from the women's tees. Hitting from the men's tees is a lot more difficult. She's going to get smoked.

I don't think it is the matter of she still has to make the cut. There are men who work very hard to try and get there PGA tour card, and for a women to come in and get an invitation to an event and reap the benefits of her sponsors and the Tournements sponsors, when she hasn't really proven her ability on a male course seems a bit ridiculous, when some Card holders are lucky to be making a pay check week to week.

A man entered a bus, both of his front pockets full of golf balls, and sat down next to of all people, a beautiful, you guessed it, blonde.

The blonde kept looking quizzically at him and his bulging pockets.

Finally, after many such glances from her, he said, "It's golf balls".

Never-the-less, the blonde continued to look at him thoughtfully and finally, not being able to contain her curiosity any longer, asked:

"Does it hurt as much as tennis elbow?"

Well I'll put it like this..................I'll fashion her to Tiger Woods. She has worked her tale off to be the best woman golfer just like Tiger dominates the men! When you distinguish yourself like that and stand out from the crowd, good things happen. I give her all the credit in the world!

I don't disagree accolades to her achievements, I am just stating why I think alot of the players would be upset, and I can't help but disagree. There is a huge difference between the LPGA and PGA

WTF is up with women............Damn glad I keep my wife in check.

Shoot, I wouldn't care if my wife could do that, I would be sitting at a huge house hanging out with an 18 year old hot cleaning lady.

I agree with IAB, if she earns the spot then great, but she didn't earn it which means she's taking the spot of a tour player. Would you like to be the tour player not allowed to play in the tournament because she's in your spot?
