FUQ boys and girls, the longest I went was 4yrs. Age 23-27. Didn't even kiss anyone, go to the bar, date, etc.........then about 3years ago I went a little over 2yrs I think without. But..........I've been slowly making up for lost time and years...........

I agree with you Babsie....when I am with someone I am totally monogamous, but I always have about two or three "friends with benefits" who I take advantage of when I am single. I keep it to that number because inevitably they end up getting into relationships as well. It's a good mutual agreement thing. I was with one girl on Friday night and another on Sunday night.

Call me a whore, but really I don't care...I'm safe about everything and I know the women I sleep with regularly really well (most of them several years). They are also fully aware that they are not the only person in my life.

As a result the longest I have gone without sex in the last eight years is about a month. Once it gets to about 2-3 weeks I start getting antsy and making phone calls, dinner dates, etc...or meeting new women.

I have no idea what is going to happen when I actually get married, because that will be the LAST person I have sex with (I hope). She's going to have to be a freak in bed.

I think I'm kinda in the same boat with Icekool. Part of that is being older than a lot of ya'll, which doesn't mean desire diminishes so much - just that I seem to balance things better and put them in a different sort of perspective.

When you put some emotional investment in someone, it makes you both vulnerable - and if a long relationship dissolves, it takes some time to look at someone else again as a source of fun and fulfillment instead of a potential source of new drama.

I also have to deal with being this much older at a university - AND teaching a couple of classes. Even when I get the occasional offer of "friends w/benefits" it can come from someone way younger - and then I have to deal with the ethical considerations. . .like I could end up with them in my class six months later. That alone means "NO" to me.

I'm also not the kind of guy who is used to getting much attention, especially on a campus where most of the people are young enough to be my own kids. I even usually dress kinda baggy..I'm not like some big guy. Last semester I wore a pair of tight Mavis to class....hell, remember I'm like almost 50....I was in the middle of a lecture and was writing on the board and I heard one student just blurt out "damn...nice ass!" I know I turned pretty red...turned around fast, and made a real quick joke about not being like Ross on "Friends" - remember that episode where he dated one of his students? The student apologized after class - she said she just thought I was in good shape and never saw me wearing any jeans like that before. I know it was a compliment, but...geez...made me feel in a real awkward position.

You're right on a lot of levels there. To me, sometimes sex is simply about a physical act between two people who both want mutual pleasure and want a physical source of it. There isn't really any "heart" involved, and we both know that. After all, you have to agree there is a big difference between sex and making love, and even on top of that, just straight fuqqing.

I actually wish sometimes I didn't feel that way, however I think it stems from the very first time, which meant nothing to me - it was simply "to get the job done" and lose my virginity. Unfortunately that trend continued. The one person I almost married I waited several months to have sex with because it was a special relationship and I knew it was different so I approached it differently. We were together over 3 years...it didn't work out. C'est la vie. I'm looking for someone who makes me feel the same way.

Funny how after whoring for a while you're actually looking for the one person that you DON'T want to sleep with right away.

They say......love falls in your hands when you're not LOOKING for it. Relax. Ya know.....you could scare the ones "worth keeping" by your character and past behavior. Example: If you and I were dating....I found out you were a whore.......You're not touching this.....Even though the past is the past and you cannot change it or take back what you wish, it still reflects on who you are. That's what got me through my early 20's (the "itch", that is)....now that I'm creeping up on 30 the actual sex isn't important anymore...just looking for the relationship. And you're right, I always meet people when I'm not expecting too...but then you sabotage yourself by saying "I'm just going to go out and have fun because then I'll probably meet someone because I'm not trying to".

Now I actually find it more fun to meet a woman and know that she would go home with me rather than actually doing it. It's still the ego boost, but no consequences...guess I'm growing up

Scary thing is I have friends who have slept with over 50 women...I'm nowhere near that number and can't imagine it.
