How are these following food for low-carb bodybuilding lifestyle

Sundried tomatoe
Balsalmic Vinager
Mustard
Mr.Dash
Diet Coke
Coffee
Nuts
Tofu
Sunflower Seeds
Eziekeil Bread (for carb up instead of oats/sweet potatoe)
Any fruits (other than banana, for carb up)
Peanut Butter
Almond butter (instead of butter)

How many cups of coffee a day can you get away with?
How is half & half to have with coffee if you are in a cafe & they dont have full 35% cream?
How many Tbsp half and half can you get away with in a day?
(as I love coffee with cream and stevia, my dessert)

Hi QOS

First you should read This . It will explain alot of things as well as why certain foods are used for the Carb Up, including the banana.

These are fine to use for now except for the Bread. No bread on a cut. and you should not replace the oats and sp w/ bread
Tofu if you can actually eat that stuff than I would say for now go ahead
Read the link and learn about the carb up.

A few is fine - just make sure you get your water in

Use Heavy Cream wherever and whenever possible. Try and stay away from the half and half if you can because of added sugar. As long as you stay within your fat count for that meal and your getting your EFA's than don't worry about it for now. Just make sure you make it part of your meals totats

Hey Jodi,
EZIEKIEL BREAD IS FLOURLESS BREAD MADE WITH SPROUTED GRAINS.

OATS/BARLEY/SOYA/LENTILS ARE SPROUTED TO MAKE THIS BREAD ZERO IN SUGAR.

2 SLICES HAD 6G FIBRE, 8G PROTEIN AND ONLY 22G CARBS.

ITS NOT REAL BREAD BUT TASTES BETTER.

I WILL PUT SOME MORE INFO ON IT IN A NEW POST, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK THAN

Turn off your caps lock please -

If you want a slice on your carb up days thats fine but NOT in place of your carb up. You still need to stick with the Oats, Sweet Potato, veggies, PB and banana for your 6th meal carb up!

Other carb up choices:

ben and jerry's low fat frozen yogurt
pasta
cereal (esp. captn' crunch) w/skim milk
sushi.....lots of it

Hey Dm, now that you are on Leptigen II can you just eat what ever you want and let it perform magic on you???? lol

I'm playing devil's advocate here..but in all honest it IS my honest opinion...there are numerous other methods and foods that can be used in a carb-up...other than SP, oats, and a banana.

In fact...many BBers when carbing up avoid fat/protein all together since it inhibits glycogen uptake. Others utilize high GI carbs first thing in the morning....the list could go on.

I guess what I'm saying here...many of the members here at IM use the above carb-up option but remember there are ALWAYS alternatives...

I agree with ff.. My carb ups ussually consist of a box of cereal and skim milk. I shy away from the fats during my carb ups and make sure I get in sugar (with the exception of frucotse) to replenish glycogen levels..........Jodi please don;t hate me for putting these ideas in newbies heads No seriusly though, if you are new to this I recomend you try and stick with the above carb up and keep it clean so that you can learn about your body and what works best for you. I have just been doing this long enough, just as ff has, to know how my body is going to respond to certain foods.

Hate you, I don't hate you What gives you the idea I hate you

Kidding of course!

I agree though, until you've done this a few times and know how your body reacts to different foods its best to stick with what we know will work.

I personally don't deviate from it too much other than adjusting the amounts at times. In time you learn your body and know what you can and can't handle. Just be careful not to spill over too much

Welcome to the "other" TEAM P-Funk

Jodi made a good point though... ... you really need to understand how your body reacts to different foods and qualntites before you start making a bucnh of changes.
