Sounds okay...only thing id recommend is moving the rice to your after workout meal (lifting) and get your carbs there when it will be used to replenish your body's energy stores. If you insist on having it at the scheduled time you have listed make sure its a long-grain rice (non-instant) to lower the GI level somewhat.

You can go crazy with the broccoli, its pretty harmless. The calorie count from what i saw there might be closer to 1600 though, not that that is a bad thing.

You will definitely cut at 200 lbs with that diet.

Crash - Your cals are tooo low! I think you should be starting your cut at no less than 2400 calories - JMO

1. Wheres your protein for breakfast
2. How much rice at lunch
3. You need some EFA's in your diet and it will help bring your cals up to an acceptable amount.
4. You need more Green Veggies

How long have you been eating like this?

Posted by: CRASHMAN

2 days
i hate eggs anything else i can eat at breakfast
i just noticed cell tech has 300 calories

Posted by: J'Bo

ok honey crash dear....you forgot to put down the 26oz you drink everyday...that does count you know.

Posted by: CRASHMAN

I stopped drinking

Posted by: P-funk

If you don't like eggs then eat some other form of protein.....cottage cheese, chicken, tuna, protein shake. Just becuase it is breakfast doesn't mean that it always has to be eggs.......How do you not like eggs?

Well, what about a protein shake. As Funky said, You don't have to have eggs. There's plenty of times I've had left over chicken for breakfast

Posted by: CRASHMAN

is there anything wrong with that little bit of calories?

Posted by: Jodi

Crash what are you talking bout. Its 6 am you need to be more specific.

Posted by: CRASHMAN

oops is there anything wrong with me(crash) having that little amount of calories in my diet.....btw whats wrong with white rice it's still carbs isn't it?

Posted by: Jodi

Read the thead the I answered the other day about Metabolism Reset. That may answer your question about too low of calories.

As far as the rice, you should be sticking to brown rice or basamati brown rice. The brown rice is a slow burning carb. That white rice is a Its very high on the GI. You can vary your carbs but you should stick with slower burning carbs.

No you wouldn't gain weight at 2400 cals. Your only figuring 10 cals per lb of body weight and that should be the lowest possible number. In other words after a long cut the last few weeks should be around 2000 cals not when you begin a cut. You leave absolutely no room to drop calories and that low you will lose muscle.

Posted by: CRASHMAN

well then i'll straighten that right out

Posted by: CRASHMAN

brown rice more cals nice

Posted by: ZECH

Crash, you need to double your protein intake!!

Posted by: Jodi

Double is alot to just increase it to right away don't ya think?

I think he should at least increase to 300G to start that would bring him to 1.5 per lb.

Posted by: ZECH

Well it takes alot @200lb to maintain muscle. I sure wouldn't want to go below 300.

Posted by: Jodi

I agree DG but he's been at 200G doubling him to 400 is going to make him gain weight and he's trying to cut right now. If he eases up to 300 then he can safely cut and still try and retain LBM!

Posted by: CRASHMAN

what wold you suggest addin for more protien and at what meal?.....i only got like 2 weeks let before i leave i was tryin to cut really fast

Posted by: Jenny

Crashie, cutting doesn't happen really fast..

Posted by: Jodi

Well if you are trying to get cut fast then keep in mind you WILL going to lose LBM!!

You really need to add some sort of protein to you Meal 1 and I would also increase your protein so that you are getting 45-50G P per meal. Also, get rid of the white rice and use brown rice instead.

When, where and how much Flax are you getting?

Also, if you come off the creatine for the next few weeks you'll drop weight for sure. Creatine makes you hold up to 10 pounds of water.

Posted by: MatthewO

Protein in meal 1 would help...and the essential fatty acids added in will make life less miserable for you.

I do not agree with 2400 calories for cutting, from your height and weight there is no way you have enough muscle to do any significant cutting at 2400 calories a day. (and thats not a knock either, just a fact. Many lifters I am associated with who are appreciably larger in stature than 200 lbs (250-290 lb guys) cut at 2100-2200 calories.

3500 calories need to be cut out to drop 1 lb...if you expend 2800 calories a day (and i doubt you expend any more then that) would take you a whopping 9 days to drop 1 lb at 2400 calories a day. thats 90 days for 10 lbs. 12 weeks for 10 lbs is pretty damn slow. 2000 calories will cut that time in half for 10 lbs of fat.

Add in protein with your breakfast and add those EFA's and boost your caloric intake to about 1900-2000 and youll be able to cut while not losing any appreciable amount of muscle mass.

2400 Cal / 200 lbs is only 12 cals per pound which is very reasonable to cut. IMO - Going lower than that at the first stage of a cut will be too dramatic.
