"She might want to have sex but feel too shy to convey that to her partner," says Cynthia Lief Ruberg, a sex and relationship counselor in Columbus, Ohio. To find out if that's her, wait until she's in a playful mood, then ask her to help you come up with a secret code word or phrase for sex. "Creating your own language for sex helps intimacy and can get past her embarrassment," says Ruberg. Can't think of anything? Try "giddyap."
