hi. i just started doing a 6 meal a day diet and not really sure how i need to eat as before my diet consisted of donuts, pizza, chips, lots of ribeyes, chicken and fish, more fat and deep fried stuff, etc... here's what i eat now:

meal 1:
protein drink w/8oz fat free skim milk
banana
creatine - 5 grams
glutamine - 2.5 grams
multi-vitamin - 1 big ass pill
large glass of water

meal 2:
3 whole eggs
2 slices wheat bread
1 glass of 8oz fat free skim milk
i tbl spoon flaxseed oil
large glass of water

meal 3:
chicken breast
med sized potato
large glass of water

meal 4:
tuna fish
2 slices wheat bread
large glass of water

meal 5:
chicken breast
med sized potato
1 carrot
2 pieces of garlic
large glass of water

meal 6
protein drink w/8oz fat free skim milk
glutamine - 2.5 grams
large glass of water

i will also be incorporating salmon, whiting filet, ground beef, ham, any steak for the main part of the meal and onions, spinach, random veggies with the meals every so often. also, i bake all my food, veggies too, or cook it on a charcoal smoker.

also, my workout:

workout 1 (mon)
chest
triceps
cardio 30 minutes

workout 2 (wed)
hamstring
leg ext
quad
cardio 30 minutes

workout 3 (fri)
calves
shoulders
cardio 30 minutes

workout 4 (mon) then i go back to workout 1 on wed
back and so on...
traps
biceps
cardio 30 minutes

i warm up with a few really easy sets (3 maybe 4 sets of 15 to 25 reps) for preparation and go all out on 1 maybe 2 really heavy sets (6 to 8 reps). for example, on workout one:

incline fly
set 1: light
set 2: 60% of max that i can do
set 3: max
set 4: superset, at max, w/incline bench or dumbbell

some sort of tricep movement
set 1: max

and that's it. i use supersets and dropsets throughout each routine. my weight lifting time only takes about 20 minutes. anyone have any ideas on how to improve my diet or workout plan or if it's ok with what my goals are? my goal is to lose the last bit of stubborn fat i have left on my belly while maintaing/gaining muscle mass. i'm 5'10", weigh 160 right now and would like to be about 170 give or take a few punds and be a little bigger, but not necessarily shredded. i'm pretty toned right now except for the layer of fat on my abs. i get close but i can never stick to a diet after a week. also, what's a good steak to eat? i know i'm going to have to substitute the ribeye with something else. unless it's ok to eat it once a week. how about pork chops or ham? also is there any difference in baking in the oven or cooking on a smoker? i've read through a lot of postings but it's hard to pick and chose. should i cut the cardio if i'm dieting right? thanks for any info or suggestions.

Looks like a 180 degree turn you're making!

what is the macro breakdown on your diet and the calories?

I would recommend that you increase your lifting, and cut out some cardio if you are looking to gain muscle mass.

as far a as sticking to your diet, maybe if you incorporate a cheat day it will be easier, or if necessary even two cheat days for awhile.

Definately nice turn around. Your meals are much better than donuts and pizza. Don't be afraid of red meat, just be sure to get lean cuts like sirloin and tenderloins. I like to get ground sirloin to.
