How does this bread sound?

Vermont Bread Company's "Oat" Bread.

The ingredients are:

Organic Whole Wheat Flour, Organic Wheat Flour, Water, Organic Rolled Oats, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice and /or Organic Cane Sugar, Organic MOlasses, Cultured Wheat Starch, Salf, Yeast.

Calories: 70
Fat: 0g
Cholesterol: 0mg
Sodium: 140mg
Total Carbohydrate: 15g
Dietary Fiber: 1g
Sugars: 2g
Protein: 3g

Hopefully it's an acceptable substitute for my brown rice and oatmeal.

You can fit in your diet if your not cutting, but it is not a substitute.

If you really, absolutely, most definately have to have bread while cutting...............Get 100% Whole Grain.

What you have is no better than most breads.

Also the texture of the flour is a very important factor on the glycemic index (i/e/ how fast it impacts insulin). Always try to get stone ground flour if possible since the individual flour substrate will be much much more coarse than the highly refined machine milled flour common in every day "white bread" and highly powdered fine particle flours. If you don't believe me - light a candle and sprinkle fine white flour over the flame and watch it almost explode on contact. Do the same with coarse flour and note that it is hard to even get to smolder. The same principal applies in the gut.

I knew there was a certain kind of bread that I could eat...I guess I picked the wrong one.
