i'm currently trying to lose bf while putting on lbm (isn't that everyone's goal? ) so i'm on a mod protein (seems high for me though), mod carb, low fat, zero sugar meal plan...
i'm 21, about 5'11, 190 lbs and 20-25% bf
since i started my meal plan i've been eating about 2 whole eggs and 8 egg whites a day, i normally have some strawberries or a peach as my 2nd meal (going out to buy some protein powder tonight to add to this meal) and my lunch usually consists of veggies and tuna/chicken, afternoon meal is usually veggies or fruit and nuts and for dinner i usually have chicken, fish, turkey with veggies...
now i've been told each meal should consist of 40-45 g of protein, 40-45 g of carbs and 10 g of fat to equal a total of 200 or so g of protein for the day (same goes for carbs) and 50 g of fat (about 2200 calories)
what i'm wondering is what is the significance of eating balanced meals? what would be wrong with not having protein with my morning and afternoon fruits and just overloading the protein for dinner to make up what i missed in meal 2 and 4?

small balanced meals through out the day help your metabolism. your body won't be able to use the food you give it efficiently if you put it all in in two meals. eat 6 meals a day. it works. i was skeptical at first but i've had more results in the last 4 weeks with the help of this forum than i've had in two years of trying to lose fat. there was only one thing missing in my fat loss plan. a good diet. look around for meal plans. start a journal. people will help and give advice.
