Splitting Multivit/mineral tabs for more absorption?

Hey all-
Quick question...I want to see if this makes sense to anyone here.
I take a multi vit/min. pill. directions say take one pill, twice a day. After i take one (it's a huge pill!), about an hour, I go to pee and it is bright glowing yellow (sorry for the graphic detail)
. Is it that color because a lot of the vits/mins are being passed out of my system? If I cut the pill in half so I would take 1/2 pill, 4 times a day with my meals, would that get better absorption? Thanks.

i know if i don't drink enough H2O, my urine will "glow" also from my multivit. Not sure if drinking more water makes a difference.

Its the B Complex in the vitamin. They put too much in it usually. Stick with what your doing your just peeing out the excess and make sure you drink 5-6L of water a day regardless

No need to cut the pill in half. The yellow urine is not uncommon. Like the people above say, just drink lots of water.
The multi I use says to take one pill twice a day. However, I see no point in taking 200% RDA of vitamin A and 500% vitamin C, ON TOP of my vitamin-loaded morning protein shake, so I just take one pill with lunch. Cripes, how much Thiamin does a guy really need?

I had been meaning to ask the same question. I take the Megamen multi, and always wondered about the flouresent (sp?) urine.
I figured I was pissing out stuff, but it's nice to know it's common.
(WHY don't they mention this little tidbit on packaging?)

Lucky for you guys you don't know how much protein/nitrogen you are peeing away too. Someone once said Americans pee more protein/nitrogen in one day than the average 3rd world country person consumes in protein in a few days.

I just started a liquid vitamin. The yellow pee is almost instant, as well as the energy level

It also depends on the vitamin, some have a better delivery system than others. The yellow pee is common and usually goes away after a while.

I use to get it with GNC vitamins, now I use Nature's Plus and it doesn't happen anymore. Sometimes I run out of Nature's Plus while waiting for my order I use GNC and I have bright yellow pee again for a few days.
