Question about surgery

I'm not sure where this should go, but I was wondering if anyone knew about liposuction and laser surgery to carve abs? No matter what I do or how many years I've worked at it, I can not lose this body fat.

Then the simple fact is, you're not working hard enough.

No actually some people don't lose fat like others. No matter how much some people try they will forever be doomed to failure. Others will stay lean and only gain muscle mass and very little fat. It's just genetics.

That's not true at all, anyone can get abs if they work hard enough. As I'm sure you've heard people say before "Abs are made in the kitchen," which is 100% true. Take a look at your diet.

You see, I'm of the mind that you are using this as an excuse. Please don't take offense by this...I'm not trying to piss you off. It is damned hard work to lose bodyfat and takes lot of time, energy and dedication. Many people on this board (including myself) were overweight with high BF levels and now have abs and lots of strength along with it. What it takes is often changing little things one at a time and working over a period of years. It took me personally a year to lose 60 pounds, and then another year to get my abs on top of that.

Just stick with a good solid program, beginning with taking a look at your diet and it can be done. You're definitely in the right place to get a good solid start! There are tons of resources here.

You're all right. I am just tired of the pursuit. I've been looking at that for so long that at times I lose scope of the real meaning: being healthy. Abs are just the icing on the cake.

yes, genetics do play a part, some people are naturally lean, while others have a propensity to gain and hold onto bodyfat.

however, I do not care how many years someone has been "trying" to lose fat, obviously if they are failing they do not know what the hell they're doing!

it's all about proper diet, nutrition, weight training, and even some cardio.

i know some people who have had great results just going on a reduced caloric deficit without doing any cardio whatsoever, along with a strict weight training regimen of course

yes, but I do not think a person with a naturally slow metabolism, basically someone regarded as an "endomorph" can get away with this, I think they need some cardio as well for long term weight loss.

Too clarify about cardio, are you talking about traditional cardio, or HIIT training?
