Some one told me that tribulus terrestris is an outstanding post cycle drug.... If you do not know anything about this drug... it basically raises Natural testosterone, Kind of like non released test.... If you think this is legit or ever heard that please reply

what kind of a cycle are u coming off of?

Posted by: Prince

First of all it's an herb, not a drug.

Secondly, the most it will do for you is increase your libido.

I dont believe that at all...i have heard of many guys that take the tribulus pre-workout to have a wonderful pump and strong workout.

Well, there is some real scientific evidence.

There is very little scientific support for tribulus terrestris, the theory is that it will indirectly raise T levels by increasing the hormone LH (luteinizing hormone).

In one of the few well-controlled studies to examine the effects of tribulus terrestris on body composition and exercise performance looked at 15 resistance-trained males. Subjects received either a placebo or a large dose of tribulus (1.5mg per pound of body weight per day for 2 months). Results showed no changes in body weight, percentage fat, total muscle mass or muscle strength related to tribulus supplementation.

I rarely go by medical studies. I tend to go by personal experience and by others that have used products.

Have you ever heard of the placebo effect?

The effects of Tribulus terrestris on body composition and exercise performance in resistance-trained males.

Antonio J, Uelmen J, Rodriguez R, Earnest C.

Human Performance Laboratory, University of Nebraska, Kearney, NE 68849-3101, USA.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the herbal preparation Tribulus terrestris (tribulus) on body composition and exercise performance in resistance-trained males. Fifteen subjects were randomly assigned to a placebo or tribulus (3.21 mg per kg body weight daily) group. Body weight, body composition, maximal strength, dietary intake, and mood states were determined before and after an 8-week exercise (periodized resistance training) and supplementation period. There were no changes in body weight, percentage fat, total body water, dietary intake, or mood states in either group. Muscle endurance (determined by the maximal number of repetitions at 100-200% of body weight) increased for the bench and leg press exercises in the placebo group (p <.05; bench press +/-28.4%, leg press +/-28.6%), while the tribulus group experienced an increase in leg press strength only (bench press +/-3.1%, not significant; leg press +/-28.6%, p <.05). Supplementation with tribulus does not enhance body composition or exercise performance in resistance-trained males.

Clomid or nolvadex, or arimidex wont give you pumps at all yet this over the counter supplement will? I think your friends are imagining things.

the first time I did a cycle, I had no clomid, but I did use tribulus. it kinda works, but its not as strong as clomid. I would save it till your clomid ends. I don't think it helps much with building muscle, but it does help sex drive, and I had more intense workouts. make sure it isn't cheap tribulus.

I've gotta agree with you guy's........ We carry Trib for those afraid to mess with research chems. It DOES work but definitely not as well as clomid. After a lot of research it is the only product I have found in the Supplement category that actually worked for me.
