Originally posted by david If this is so, then what are their reasonings for this? Maybe someone from Avant can further explain this. Hmmmnnn... GP, where did you find this ad, anyways. Were the apes/monkeys at least huge? Well, I guess whatever works for them. I wish them all the best of luck with their products. |

Originally posted by kdwa1 Sounds like fairly healthy competition to me.Just hope they can back up the bash with a superior product. Seems that most nutritional supplement companies think of themselves as the supreme being of the biz. Gotta stimulate those sales, right? They are however hitting the top players it seems.Interesting world huh GoPro? |

Originally posted by gopro ...but IMO, they should focus on themselves and their products, not on the companies they are chasing. And this goes for all companies. |

Originally posted by gopro Well, I cannot say they "bash" anyone, but the gist of the add is that Avant is a supreme being and the rest are just simple primates. Ever see 2001 A Space Odyssey? |

Originally posted by Twin Peak Its clever. And in jest. |

Originally posted by gopro I'm glad to see Avant is growing to the point of being able to advertise in a major mag |

Originally posted by Twin Peak Actually, its the second ad. And see how effective it is? You didn't even notice the first. |

Originally posted by Twin Peak The first is in this months Ironman. Its a Leptigen Ad. |

Originally posted by Twin Peak Let me know your thoughts. It follows Par's article on Leptin. |

Originally posted by gopro Because it makes you look insecure and makes the other companies look even better. By showing specific companies in your own ad you are admitting that these are the ones you are worried about. Better to focus on what YOU have and what YOUR products can do and not worry about what anyone else is doing. I have been advertising businesses for 13 years now and I have seen what works and what does not. I have done surveys on what the public's perception is about certain types of ads and have learned a few key things...the above is one of them. |

Originally posted by Prince Are you serious? First of all advertising is an ever changing animal, and using new methods to get people's attention is good marketing. How often do you stop and look at ads, watch tv commercials, or even click on banners on the net? We tend to get immune to all of them, until someone comes up with something that grabs our attention, that is the main point of advertising to gain your interest. If an ad fails to gain your interest, it pretty much fails completely. Have you ever seen some of the advertising in other countries? You cannot just stick to the same old boring shit, and worry about stepping on people's (other companies) toes. I have not seen this ad, but I can't wait, it sounds great. |

Originally posted by gopro Yes Tkarrde, that is my opinion and the opinion of everyone I asked. That is not a personal attack at all, so please don't get defensive. I have nothing against your company, and in fact am using Ab-solved right now. |

Originally posted by Tkarrde I didnt think I was getting defensive...certainly wasnt my intention. |

Originally posted by gopro What are you some kind of loser! No scanner! (Wait, I don't have one either)...Damn TP you are the coolest for not having a scanner...

Originally posted by Twin Peak LOL. I don't think scanning at my office is the best move either.... Um, you could BUY the mag. Plus there are a ton of VPX ads in there, including Redline. |

Originally posted by Mudge Its illegal in some or much of europe to even compare one product versus another, I'm thinking Germany or Sweden. |

Originally posted by Par Deus Glad the VPX guys got a chuckle out of it ![]() Obviously, you guys are the big boys, which is why you and EAS were chosen, so I would not really expect too much animosity. Also, VERY glad you got the 2001 reference -- some of the people we sent it to did not get it (Planet of the Apes comments and such)Biotest got in because Berardi ripped off my Lepin articles (and, the T-Nation is probably good and ready for a leptin product.....) Molecular, because Bill wishes he had the respect, as a scientist, that I have -- in those a little more educated than the ESPN crowd ![]() I picked up the IronMan ad, today -- gonna try and scan real quick.... Well, my scanner doesn't seem to be working -- sorry
