I eat a large breakfast, including a protien shake, around 7 AM and train around 9AM. What would be a good pre-workout meal? For carbs, I was thinking oats. Any suggestions? This meal seems unneccessary.

2 hours before training oats are perfect, if you want something closer to training then you would want a higher glycemic carb. I don't think you need another meal in between your breakfast and training, if that is what you are asking.

A protein shake and some oats is perfect preworkout- light and provides the energy you need.

Thanks everyone!
O.K. so here's breakfast:
=======
Shake:
1 scoop of whey protien powder
1 cup of fat-free milk
1/2 cup of fat-free yogurt
1 cup of oats
5 oz. of strawberries
Breakfast Sandwich:
1 egg
2 slices of wheat toast
5 pieces of turkey bacon
Seasoning
=======
Protien: 50g
Carbs: 88g
So waddaya think?
Is this a good Protien/Carb ratio?

Are you bulking?

Nope! Cutting. Why?

You may want to reconsider the milk and yogurt. Milk has 12G sugar per cup. I'm not sure what the yogurt has but I'm sure its not much better

I knew you would say that. Do you have any suggestions? Heavy whipping cream?

Or half n half or light cream are all fine. Just watch the fat and keep it within caloric and macro restriction.

How much sugar is too much? Besides my shake, I avoid sugar.

I would only do the sugar post workout. As far as your breakfast, if it fits in with your daily total of calories, carbs, protein and fat, it looks good to me.
