American League playoff matchups

What do you think of these matchups?

Boston vs Oakland
New York vs Minnesota

The Boston series is tough to call. Boston's mighty offense has shown that it can be stopped by good pitching, which the A's have. I think this series could easily go either way.

The Yankees are going to pulverize the Twins.

A Boston/New York ALCS would be a frickin amazing series!!!

I think the boys from beantown will beat Oakland, at least I hope so. Oakland isn't very deep. I hate new york with a passion so I don't care who beats them, they will probably win that series though.

fuck the mariners, they stink. I have been anti baseball in Seattle Griffey and R Johnson left, that was it for me. Now Pinella and Arod are gone too, give me a break.

btw, Oakland will probably choke against Boston;

That would be sweet, but I would hardly call it a choke. Boston is favored in the series. That is unusal for the road team.

I think his pitch count depends on the score of the game. If the Sox get out to a big lead, they'll probably keep Pedro to six or seven innings and 100 pitches tops. If it's a close game, they'll probably keep him in there as long as possible. I wouldn't be surprised if he throws 130 pitches again.

I also think the Sox offense is due to explode. NO TEAM has kept us quiet for four straight games as the A's have. We are SOOOO due to explode.

No doubt! I thought it was a 4:00 start, but it's actually 8:00. Looks like a crappy night of sleep for me tonight. That 5:00 AM workout tomorrow isn't looking promising....

The number three batter on both teams has been positively terrible. That spot in the order is supposed to be one of the big guns offensively. If either player was putting up respectable numbers, this series could be over by now.
