creatine should be taken right after your weight training workout. the best way to take it is with pure dextrose, which gives the best insulin spike which promotes better creatine uptake into the muscles. the dextrose will also help replenish glycogen stores.

I usually take it pre workout in water.
Either way it's gonna get to your muscles.
