Ephedrine-yes/no? How much, when, dangerous?

ephedrine containing supplements are fine if you use them as directed, and start with the smallest dosage if you are a first time user, to see how your body reacts, and then increase to the general recommended dosage for optimum results. also, cut out additional stimulants while taking them, like coffee, as they usually contain caffeine already. those few cases where serious problems occured, where brought on by ABUSE of a perfectly safe supplement!
i'm getting tired of people talking how bad and dangerous ephedra is.

I agree, if used correctly it's fine.

I do believe you should cycle it for maximum benefits.

I don't think you should cycle for fat loss becuase prolonged use increases ephedrines sensitivity to beta-2 and beta-3 recepetors (beta-3's are found in "stubborn" fat).

But, for energy like any nervous system stimulant the body builds a tolerance so for that purpose it's best to cycle.

As far as dosage, follow the label and you'll be fine, I take 60mg per day.

TSB, question. I have a bottle os AST's Dymetadrine Xtreme, which on the label says take one capsule before workout. Now, one capsule contains 20 mg of ephedrine alkaloids. What's funny is that their website says to take two caps before workout, which would be 40 mg of ephedrine! Is this too much to take at once?:confused

I use Dymetadrine.

I take 3 caps per day, one at 9am, another at 3pm, and another around 8pm (doesn't bother my sleep).

2 caps pre-workout is good for stimulatory effects, but you would be limited as far as dosage for the rest of the day.
