Hey guys..

Just had some newbie supplement questions. I need to buy some supplements so I can plan out my meals. I was thinking to have one protein drink instead of a meal and one protein bar instead of a meal. They are very quick and easy. Right now I use some GNC Whey and balance bars. Not that great but now I want some GOOD stuff. Here goes:

1.) What is the difference between a mrp and a protein shake? Which should I have to substitue for a meal?

2.)What protein bar is the best?

3.) I know that after a weight workout you should have a lot of carbs with your protein drink but my protein drink has like no carbs whatsoever, is there a special powder you use only for post workout?

If you guys could give me the names of the shit i need to buy, then i could go to the store and get them.

and prince, help me out and ill buy from your store!! haha lol i really will!!

1) If I am not wrong, Meal Replacement Shakes and Protein Shakes are more or less the same. Just make the sure the nutrition value is good (high protein, low fat, low sugars, etc). When you use either one to subsitute as a meal, maybe you can drink them along with a chicken/tuna/egg sandwich or something. If you are looking for a Shake with reasonable price, great taste, and huge amount of protein per serving, try Pro Complex. That's good stuff.

2) I like Pure Protein the best, with its Strawberry Cheesecake being great. Excellent taste, and 30 g of protein. IMO, Nitro Tech taste like crap, too sweet.

3) Hmmm, not sure on this. Cuz normally I'll eat direectly after working out. For example, I'll drink my high pro/low carb whey immediately once a workout is over, but within 30 minutes I'll take my lunch, which consist of even more protein and carbs.

1. MRP's contain sugar, vitamins, and protein. Protein shakes are just that, Protein.

2. I also like Pure Protein bars.

3. I like to mix together a couple scoops of protein with a scoop or two of Mass builder (for the sugar).

mealreplacements consist of a blend of protein and carbs, protein powders are just that, only protein, no added carbs.
if your protein powder has too little carbs, add your own using pure dextrose, which is the best carb source immidiately after working out.
