Due to busy working conditions, I have not been able to eat lot of whole food nowadays, and been mostly relying on Shakes for my daily protein intake (about 50%). I am wondering, is that a reliable thing to do?

Not really, if you really cannot find time to eat, cook or whatever, at least eat a protein bar in place of one shake. It's better than not eating at all, but a "liquid" diet is not very healthy.

you could try to prepare food ahead of time and keep it frozen or in the fridge until its meal time and just heat it up. tuna is another option, all you need is a can opener and a fork. just remember that supplements are only made to "supplement" your diet.
