I am just wondering how many people here watch the ESPN original show Playmakers?? I love teh show, it is pretty cool IMO. I heard that they may not return for a second season despite the high rating the show has gotten b/c it supposedly portrays a bad image of proffesional football. If the NFL really is nothing like that though then what would it matter, so apparently it ain't that far off. HAha. Anyways, I try not to miss it, good show.

I've seen a few episodes too. Acting kinda sucks but still a pretty cool show. On a side note, it does not matter if the image portrayed is true or not, remember, to some people perception is reality. Some(most) viewers have a hard time telling the difference between fiction and reality. That is why so many people get caught up in the frigging soaps and reality T.V. crap.

^^true that. IMO The acting is descent though, it is definately believable. There are a few characters I don't like.

I've seen all episodes so far, except last night's which I taped and will watch tonight. The acting may not be fabulous, but it is certainly believable. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those things actually happen(ed), but probably not all to the same team in such a short time.

I don't think the show is portraying pro football in a bad light. I think it's most likely quite accurate. Notice how they've made references to Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant recently. Those things really happened to Iverson and Bryant. So why shouldn't the incidents that happen in the show be so hard to believe?

I watch it. They had a marathon on tonight. Pretty good show.

Great show.
If you watch ESPN you'll notice how much influence the NFL has on what they say. (Neg. stories are always on the back burner and barely mentioned, sometimes ignored)

Last week was the season finale and they sure did leave many story lines hanging. Has anyone heard if it's going to be back for a second season?
