Normally I use the AST. concept of training, but I wanted to try high volume training for 6-8 weeks to see how I respond. I would normally train 2 on 20ff, but due to school and work I am going to reduce it to 3 days a week. I would just like an opinion on this routine.
Mon Pull ups 8 sets to failure 60 sec rest between sets.
dumbell or barbell press 3 x 4-6, lateral raises 2x 4-6
Wed squats 8sets of 8 reps resting 60 sec between sets. Stiff legged deadlifts.
2 x 6-8
Fri incline dumbell press 8sets 8 resp with 60 sec between sets
skull crushers 2 x 4-6
barbell curl 2 x4-6
dumbell curl 2 x4-6

Are you training for mass.?? I'm of the opinion of doing less reps & sets (more intensely) than more reps and sets.

I am training for MASS.

i tried high volume and it didn't work for me

i dropped the weights upper the reps and when i tried to lift heavy again i could lift the big weights, took me 3-4 months to recover from it

that just my experience from it didn't work, however supersets i have mixed views on, i think when done correctly they can be very effective

but if you want mass, lift BIG!

pick a weight that you can only do 4-6 reps of, aim for around 3-5 sets depending on your routine, and what else your doing

peace
