is it genetics to have a 1 inch gap between the bicep and forearm or is there muscle there? like when i flex there is just nothing there.

There is connective tissue there, if the muscles were so close together you'd have very limited mobility without the big arms to show for it.

Mine is two fingers which is a tad more than an inch.
