As a Sox fan, I think this was inevitable. He made real bonehead moves all season. Game 7 vs the Yanks was just icing on the cake.

This news sure as hell didn't break my heart. Pedro should have been pulled in game 7 before giving up those runs. I have high hopes for next season with a new leader.

I hear Don Zimmer may be available. Hey, if 72 yr old manager Jack McKeon can lead the Marlins to the World Series, maybe ol' Zim could do the same for the Sox.

Hehehe...I think there may be some bad blood with our pitcher though.

So trade him. Hot-headed pitchers are a dime a dozen. And the Yankees are looking for a number 5 starter now that Clemens is retired. 72 yr old managers just don't grow on trees, you know.

It's hard to pull your ace who actually got you there. And they did make it to the world series. I didn't actually follow them through the year though?

I didn't think Don Zimmer wanted a managerial job, which is why he chose to be Yankee bench coach. If he and the Sox were interested in a deal, I am sure Pedro and Zimmer would put their little battle behind them. They are both professionals, and they both realize shit happens in the heat of a battle.

If Joe Torre gets axed as part of the Yankee housecleaning that is going to occur in the near future, the Sox would sign him immediately. However, George would never allow Torre to join the Sox which is exactly why Torre will remain a Yankee. Even if Torre got fired after the Sox filled the position, I could see the Red Sox hiring him on as a consultant or something.

As a sox fan and an intellegent person Don Zimmer is an asshole and i cant believe they really fired Grady LIttle for whatever reason they did which they didnt make clear. I don tknow how they are going to find the person they need for that club, b/c I think Little was the man Boston needs. I do agree he needs to be more confident in himself, game 7 wasnt the first time he didnt pull Pedro or another starter when he planned on it before he got to the mound. They need Grady Little. Now that he is gone I hope we get either the Angels pitching coach or Bobby Valentine (he is the shit, I love that guy).
