recently maximuscle had a buy 1 get 1 free offer on pack of 'cyclone' bars
they include 22g of protein per bar plus 5g of creatine, 2g of glutamine and 1.5g hmb
it sounded like a good offer and i knew they would come in real handy for long shifts a work, or at college when i'm playing sports, or if i'm out for the day and need something to take along as a meal inbetween breafast & lunch/lunch & dinner
so i brought a couple of packs
my plan was not to use them when i was cutting, i could settle for a apple or a few slices of chicken on my cut, but obviously on a bulk i want all the nutrition i can get and minimal risk of not having the food to put on muscle
i would probably just use 1 or 2 a fortnight, last resort type thing (because i know many guys on here do not recommend regular use of them)
thing is!... they (all 24 of them) exprie end of next month, and i'm cutting till mid next month
so, shall i.....
a) eat them pre weights sessions on my cut
b) eat them on long work/college shifts and when it is hard to get a full meal in
c) ignore the expiry date, they should be fine for a month or so after it
d) try n' sell em to my mates, and use a little as possible
e) use them every(other)day, they ain't gonna hurt, and no point wasting them
I would forget about the date. They usually are "best if used before this date" so yeah, they're better before the date but should be fine for a while after. But that's just me!

yes it is a 'best before' date not a 'use by' date, i was told they were different (a few yrs ago, when i had a P-T job at a supermarket)
another thing... they are doing a buy 1 get 1 free deal for a weight gainer ATM... in the e-mail they sent they said 'a large order fell through, we now have a large stock of.... blah blah.... the thing is the expiry date is.... legally we can't sell them after this date despite them still being in quote 'excellent condition'
