I am a 17 year old senior in high school. I live in a very small rual community. This being tx everyone plays football, everyone except me. I have a job here at a local beef processing plant, and so thats what I do instead of football.
I lifted as a 7th and 8th grader, as all Tx panhandle kids do, but then I got lazy and stoped. I have decided b4 i go off to college im goin to improve myself. One way I plan to do this is lifting.
I have been out for 3 years but can still lift as much or more than alot of my fellow classmates.

Last year at this time I weighed 235 now I weigh 180. I ride my bike alot, alot alot!

I dont have access to some big time gym but we do have a local weight room. We dont have much, but it works. Some guys have gotten really big in our weight room. Zach Thomas of the Dolphins grew up here, well at the weight room i guess!lol It worked for him so it should work for me! Right???!!!!

I dont have any specific goals just to get big enough to get noticed. I'd like to be strong, but Id rather have form and def. than b able to bench a house and have huge blob arms. I dont know anything about suplements or vitamines. I dont have a routine or plan.

Any comments or advise would be Greatly Appreciated!

Thanks Josh

p.s. Please excuse my spelling, and my rambiling. its late and im dumb!

I completely agree with you! I love Texas!!!

Just keep in mind that lifting heavier weights does not necessarily equal bigger or better defined muscles

Texas SUCKS, I lived in Houston for 2 years, the worst 2 years of my life, weather sucks, cowboys suck and everything sucks...

California is America.

WEST SIDE > south side

Well Nectron, that's quite an opinion there. Unfortunately, I have never lived in Houston but it doesn't seem too bad based on what my friend's tell me that lived there who now live here in Florida. They didn't move because it "sucked" but due to a job transfer. Anyway, I hear that Baytown is gorgeous.

As for the "cowboy's" statement, I'm sure you weren't refering to the football team but c'mon, really now, do people ride in off a horse and pull up to the saloon decked out in a cowboy getup wheeling a whiskey bottle into the sand shooting their guns off into the sun screaming, "yeee--ahh!" ?? Mind you, in the city of Houston??

WELL--tell us how you REALLY feel!!!
I have lived here all my life and this city is Great!!! The Only thing that SUCKS is the traffic...other than that -- we have fun clubs, great shopping, great restuarants, great fast-food places, Gyms everywhere, healthfood stores everywhere--
Awesome SCHOOLS!!!

And u never see Coyboys--- unless u travel out of Houston--on the outskirts where I live--and they are harmless. My hubby is a cowboy--my family is very Country~~ And really--country people have big hearts!!

Get a life!

Houston and Cypress are both nice places to live (been there done that)....just a bit humid at times

and I always thought America was all the states (and the people )....not just one place????? dam done learned something new today

I like all of these characteristics! I'm sold. It's a must-see-stay-in-HOUSTON!! Plus, I'd love to check the HOUSTON ROCKETS!

Hey Stacey, you forgot to mention all the culture here like the art and science museums and the opera, symphony, musicals and plays.

Also, we have the Houston Medical Center which is one of THE top in the world!!!

IMO, California is way over rated. It's pretty but entirely too expensive there!!! We get way more for our money in Texas.
