tai - newbiee, need critique and advice

what's up guys. I am new here.
I'm tai, a poor college student from chico state. I have just been training for about a month now.(newbie on weight lifting/get fit).

Diet: last time i try to cut back my food, i went nuts

Daily Vitamins/herbs intake: Centrum, Gotu kola, Siberian Ginseng, Ginko biloba, Choline & inositol (< brain food).

Training: > Walking about 10 miles everyday
> Weight lift once a week(for about a month now)

weight: 150lbs
height: 5'4
b/f: n/a (how do i measure?)

since iam new to weight lifting and all that. there are certain things that iam concern about in training, especially for abs and side belly(the spare tires aka love handle).

I done crunches and dumbbell side bends. but dont see much improvement. so any suggestion about the abs/side belly and othe critiques on overall body would be great. pic below

tai welcome to IM!

as far as your question about abs, you cannot spot reduce. Getting leaner requires proper diet and nutrition, crunches will develop the abs but if there is a layer of fat covering them you will never see them.

so thats means no matter how hard i train, I first have to reduce my body fat. i guess i will have to do more research on proper diet. thanks for your advice prince
