I wonder if 'Skippy Peanut Butter' is actually good for you. At 2 tb, it carries 17g of fat(3.5g sat. 5g polyunsaturated) i wonder if the rest are trans fat as i see 'partially hydrogenated vegetables oil' on the ingredient list. lease help and tell me if they are healthy enough to include it in your diet... thanks

Get Natrual PB. Skippy has trans fat although I have seen some atricles that say it is very minimal.

partially hydrogenated oils=trans fats

Damn, and it tastes so good

Posted by: donescobar2000

lol...yes it does. Especially in the one piece of Reeses PB Cup I had today on my refeed.

I could eat the reg peanut butter by the spoon full right out of the jar! I only do sometimes... I usually have to force myself to eat the nat stuff!

Try natty cashew butter or almond butter...........

Posted by: donescobar2000

Yuuuuuummm. Cashew butter.

Posted by: nikegurl

it's the sugar that keeps me away (99% of the time at least) from Jif and Skippy. (more than the trans fat)

I no longer really dig my man's reduced fat chunky Skippy.

I have developed a love for natty PB. Crazy Richards

Well except on Oat Bran English muffins- Skippy all the way

What do you think of Smuckers Natural PB? It seems to have more sodium but is much easier to acquire as the carry it in the major grocery stores.

the only one i find in california is laura scudders (something like that)

now i want to try other natural pbs to see if some are better.

Arrowhead Mills is my favorite. THey make good cashew butter too. I don't buy it much b/c I have little self-control and eat too much of it.

That's the one we get.

I go to the local Farmer's Market and crush up almonds, cashews and peanuts and make my own natty butter. This way, I know what goes in it.

Same here. I bought some and the chunky at least tastes quite good.

So you think Crazy Richards is good PB to get. I bypass it because it's got 2g of sugar and I get a generic Safeway PB with 1g of sugar. But if you think it's good I'll give it a try. Gotta be better!

I wish I could be endorsed by Arrowhead Mills. I buy all their products. I love their natty and everything else they make.
