Protein types/quality (in foods)

I've recently made myself a nice big diet plan. My goal is to mass up a little but this diet prolly isnt the most strict mass building diet out there... I get approx 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight per day.

But I'm concerned because most of the protein im getting comes from things like beans and protein bars and a little bit of dairy.... hardly any meat protein... not to mention the 50g of whey i get per day as well... but still very little meat, maybe 30% tops comes from meat.

In the end does it matter what kind of protein you consume (meat/vegetable/dairy)? Is one better than the other for massing or building muscle??

PS I also heard somewhere that eggs have the highest quality protein out there... True/False?

Beans are an incomplete protein by themselves unfortunately.

Eggs have the highest BV before wheys existence, there are only so many eggs you can eat safely though (biotin resistance, egg yolk contains biotin however). I got sick of eggs right quick at I believe 66 a day (not many yolks obviously).

is that a cutting diet tank?

coz if its bulking there is nooo wayyy near enough carbs

shit i'm eating mega carbs (55% of a 4000cal diet) right now and i've not put any fat on since i stopped cutting a few weeks back

its weird, i struggle to lose fat, but once its gone its gone

st240 why no meat? i try and get meat 4-5 out of my 7 meals a day (the others will be whey)

peace

If anyone knows what they are doing Tank does, 25g oats sure isn't much though so I imagine it is a cutter or like for me, maintenance. It doesn't take many carbs at all to keep my body happy.

that was a sample of cutting, on most days i'll eat 4-5 different sources of protein, wheyand egg protein, tuna, beef, bison, turkey, chicken, elk, trout, cod, salmon.etc . i know it hard to find those types, but you should try to break up your eating routine.

so does that mean whey is better than meat protein?

All it means is less of the protein is wasted, however since it is generally absorbed so quickly, it is not "better" in every situation. You never get 100% out of anything in life, it is impossible - wether due to friction or just general waste, thats how it is. Protein for example is 5 calories a gram, but it takes 1 to utilize the protein. So it just so happens that less of the whey goes to waste, if of course you are not taking excessive amounts in a single sitting in which case some of it would be utilized for energy.

BV is only one aspect, it does not neccessarily make something better or worse in every case.

ok but would my gains increase if, just say for example, i switched to an all meat protein diet as opposed to the one im on now?
