I tried to keep thanks giving meal to a clean carb up. I made ff cheese cake ffpumpkin pie (Which i got from the rec. posts) Thanks my whole family loved Them. i did well but once i eat sweets i cant stop. I then had pudding, 4 choc chip cookies, 2 brownies. I figured that i took in around 2500 cals between 1 and 7Pm
does the spike in insulin cause cravings or am i just a sugar addict?

Think i will gain a lot of fat from this?

I dont know if i should have a protien shake before bed to keep me out of starvation or if i should not have anything till tom. and let my body burn up all the food eatin today>

Any thaughts?

Happy thanksgiving

no, you will not gain fat from that one day of overeating.

yes, you should have had the protein at bed time.

yes insulin spikes, more importantly the crash, can caouse cravings.

don't sweat it and don't be so anal.............2500 cals is nothing.........I can double that easily......I probably did yesterday.

2500 cals. hmmmm. I can eat that without blinking. Ya I agree with p-funk, don't stress it

I think an occasional 'pig out' is actually a good thing. It shocks the body and revs up your metabolism.

2500 cals. I did that before noon.

Seriously, don't worry. One day is not going to hurt you

IMO...too much restriction = bingeing

Like eveyone said tho...seriously...one big cheat meal will not hurt you...if you're dieting strictly it will likely help you believe it or not...just get back on track and look forward.

Now is that one big cheat meal in general, once a week, month, year?

Posted by: Flex

2500 cals?

i think i ate that per meal on thanksgiving (i had a plate every 2 hours, 5 total "plates" all day..... with each "plate" being a heaping/overflowing combo of everything you can name....)

Posted by: dmartin1003

yeah but my problem is that it all came from sweets. I have been too strict and only had a few cheat meals in like a 6 months so I just had a hard time with the cravings to have more. I have only been eating low gi for a year it is like I was on an insulin rollercoaster
