Hi all. I wasn't sure where to post this, it may be more to do with training.
Lately when I try to do weight workouts I get nauseated, dizzy and usually have to stop to throw up.
I am following the Body For Life program mainly to lose fat, although the muscle is a nice bonus I do both cardio and weights (on alternate days) first thing on an empty stomach. I eat soon after lifting and wait one hour on cardio days.
I bought a protein powder about 2 weeks ago and looking back, it's when the problems started. I got a stomach bug and thought it was from cockroaches around the house (ugh). I also had, um, toilet problems.
Is it possible that this powder isn't being absorbed or something, and I have been exercising a protein-deficient body? I was eating about 4 meals where my protein was meat/cottage cheese, 2 from powder.
I drink about 4 litres of water a day, sipping between sets.
I am 7 weeks into the program. At week 4 I was bursting with energy and vitality. Now I feel more like a lump.
Hopefully you guys can give me some answers? :hopeful:
