Chicken:Ive baked it with bran, boiled it and grilled it. Frankly, im sick of the taste. The thought of chicken really makes me wanna . I visited my mother today, and she was eating tuna-the smell, gross, I cant even begin to tell you how icky I felt by the SMELL. And, driving today i was downing a nectar shake-I mean downing it. Every gulp, ewwwww. I need some help with variety. PLEASE post your fav recipe or food dish/prep. I need some variety! The only meal that appeals to me would be protein pancakes.

You know, I eat boiled chicken, broiled beef and plain salad, EVERY DAY. My meal plan:

Meal 1: 14 egg whites seasoned with a little garlic salt, chili powder, Chinese five spice powder, 3/4 cup oatmeal cooked with 3 packs Splenda and cinnamon, cup of decaf coffee with Splenda

Meal 2: 5 ounces sirloin, broiled with no flavoring, three cups spinach salad with two tbsp apple cider vinegar/one teaspoon Udo's/one sachet Splenda/one teaspoon chilli powder dressing, one cup cocoa mixed with half sachet Splenda and 15g psyllium husk

Meal 3: 1/2 cup quinoa and 45g protein blend (egg white/casein/whey isolate blend) with one teaspoon cinnamon, glutamine (post WO)

Meal 4: 5 ounce chicken breast, boiled with no seasonings, 3 cups salad with dressing above, one cup cocoa with Splenda.

Meal 5: One can canned salmon seasoned with one teaspoon chilli powder, one teaspoon garlic salt, huge salad with dressing above.

Meal 6: 200g pressed 0.5%, no salt cottage cheese, one tablespoon cinnamon, 12 fish oil caps, 15g psyllium husk, 1/8 cup wheat bran.

I eat the absolute SAME THING every day. And I love it. I still find my meals tasty. It's a strange thing, considering I've been eating the same thing every day, every single meal, for the past 6 months. I just wanted to share how boring my schedule is.

To be relevant to your question though, HOARD YOUR SPICE ISLE. All of them are bodybuilder-approved, save for the high sodium ones, which you should restrict, and make a world of difference as far as flavour goes. Personally I have no issues with chicken boiled in water and bay leaves or plain, tough-as-hell broiled beef. But that's just me. I find those things tasty.

Peace.

OH another thing, have you tried frying chicken? ie dipping it in egg whites, and then dredging it in wheat bran or wheat germ, seasoning it with spices, then frying it on a pan with Pam? It's not Popeye's, but it can be pretty good, and you can get away with eating it every night.

Peace.

Why does everyone moan about chicken?

Throw a little Frank's Red Hot on it, or use a salt-free BBQ rub, or seasoning.

Really easy.

Chicken is the best man. I eat mine boiled in water and have no problems with it. As long as it's moist I'm gonna find it tasty. But I'm weird.

Peace.

Boiled chix and dipped in Guldens Mustard One of my favs

I like to get the Mrs. Dash No salt seasonings. They make a ton of kinds and you can use as much as you like. They have a cajun one thats really tastly

Thanks premo-I too have a cuboard full of spices. I think I've been eating chicken almost everyday for like 3-4 years. I dip chicken in egg whites than branflakes and bake. I guess Im really just sick of the taste.

Jill, maybe you should try new spices. Go to Chinatown or little Indian stores and see what you can find. You'll always uncover new tastes and flavours by searching in exotic locales. One thing I recommend is Sriracha sauce, it's a Thai chili paste, I think, very good, but some might have added sugars.

Peace.

I think Ive tried almost every MsDash, have never seen the cajun one though. Whats Guldens mustard? I use french's mustard, and dip in a little mayo too!

There are lots of other very low-fat protein options you can pursue too, you know, when I'm feeling creative and not quite as boring as I usually am with my meal schedule, I'll buy some crab, lobster, shrimp, bay or sea scallops, mussels, clams, fillet of sole, haddock, etc. etc....bluefish is one of my absolute favorites....seafood really is a big hit with me, especially when you sear it on a pan with some black pepper and chilli powder. Give seafood a try.

Peace.

watch the mayo

Gouldens Mustard. You never heard of that? Its a spicy mustard I love the stuff

Posted by: Jill

I only use a little mayo. Im gonna have chicken cooked in lemon juice and pepper. Havent had that for a while. Or chicken with salad and low cal dressing.

Jill - A little mayo has lots of fat. I told you I wanted to see everything

I do show my mayo. Its now a word no longer in my vocab. Mustard it is!

Every little thing adds up

I only eat fish and birds. Turkey is an alternative. Try ground turkey, fresh cut turkey from a deli. I also boil my chicken sometimes in water and half can of low sodium broth. I then can shred it and use it in salads, I once mixed it with some plain yogurt, cottage cheese, onions, celery, pepper and made chix salad sandwiches. One of my favs is mixing it with brown rice, refried black beans and salsa.

I don't like eating mammals. I tried vegan once, but I went nuts. I figure this is the next best thing.
