I was talkin to a guy I work w/ who works out regularly and we got on the subject of steroids. I asked his opinon on them and he said that personally he has never touched them, but has known many who have and that once a cycle is stopped for more than say 9 months to a year, all gains are dimished that were made while on steroids and that by not going the illegal route, that you would be more likely to keep more of the gains you made "naturally" that w/ steroids. Also, that by say returning to working out naturally, you would preceed your previous poundages quicker than if you started again than while on steroids. Me personally, I know next to nothing about steroids and was wondering if this info was true? ( just to satisfy my curiousness ) .

There is no way to put a number on things, everyone is different.
I know a young guy I believe 22 years old, who only ran one cycle and holds 265 pounds on a 6 foot frame at about 9% bodyfat, his cycle was over a year ago and he can still maintain that.
I could not do such a thing, when I come off I start losing slowly, strength more than size really is whats noticed most though. So you can certainly maintain some when coming off, but there are limits, you are not going to hit 300 pounds @ 12% bodyfat, and come off, and maintain it unless you are already a natural freak.

not true necessarily. Everyone is different but if you do it right and use correct post cycle precautions then you will keep a great deal fo gains. If you didn't keep anything from a cycle then why would people do then in the first place??
