Is it ok to work out if you are sick?

ok , i am a little feverish , and have a cold , but i dont wanna miss my workout. should i just delay the workout till i get better?

depends how you feel bro. you should prob. take a few days off, let your body rest. it'd be real hard on your body to have to deal with beiing sick and recovering from a workout.

but its up to you. if its just a little cold, go pump iron. if you have a fever, get some rest

I agree with Prince. If you have a fever, stay home and rest. Once the fever subsides, its ok to workout. Many times when I have a cold, it actually makes me feel better to weight train and do some light cardio.

I feel better during a WO when I have a cold, but if you have a fever, your likely getting the flu. Don't mess around with it. Stay home and do your fellow gym members a favor.

Prob best to rest with a fever, but I still usually try to do a light workout, use light weights, don't go to failure, just a little strain. I also usually feel better after a light work out when I'm sick. Just MHO.

I've worked out sick just about everytime ive ever been sick... ive learned its best to just lay low. your bodies ability to recover from sickness is prolonged when you train due to the added stress of exercise taxing your immune system
