Here is a shake that I take one hour pre and right after workout. 50 grams Whey, 50 grams carb powder, 27 grams glutamine, 14 grams of colostrum, 10 grams creatine mixed with 16 oz. of Welches grape juice. Those measurements are for my body weight. And I take 2 deer velvet caps in the morning and 2 before my workout. Which is usually around 5 pm.

That is a boatload of Glutamine, it would be ok as a post-workout shake only, not a pre-workout shake, unless you were a hardgainer on a bulk

you could split it and make half a during workout shake and the other half of your mix a post workout shake, but I wouldnt do with before. Id also just stick with your carb powder(is it dextrose?maltodextrin?) and add water rather than the grape juice. seems like quite a bit of glutamine as well. 5-10g is defintly enough.
what are deer velvet caps btw?

Thanks. I'll cut back on the glutamine. The carb powder I use is maltodextrin. Deer velvet caps are an awesome supplement that not many know about. Here is a little on them. deer antler velvet, which is extracted humanely, without harming the deer at all, not only has IGF-1, it has 7 other powerful growth factors, and much more! Look at all you get in this miraculous substance!

Eight known growth factors, including IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1), IGF-2 (insulin-like growth factor 2), TGF beta, (transforming growth factor beta), erythropoietin (red blood cell growth stimulant), neurotrophin (nerve growth factor), bone morphogenic protein, epidermal growth factor, luteinizing hormone stimulant (increases testosterone), and fibroblast growth factor 8.

Anti-inflammatory prostaglandins, an anti-inflammatory protein (newly discovered).

Nerve protective fatty acids (springomyelin and phospholipids).

Prohormones, and sterols

Amino Acids

Cartlilage components

Glucosamine-cartilage growth, maintenance and repair stimulant (polymeric N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, a proven wound healing stimulant)

Chondroitin Sulfate A (CSA) - shown to improve circulation, reduce the bloods clotting tendencies, decrease the risk of stroke and improve cardiovascular health

Collagen type 1 Collagen type II - shown to reduce the immune attack on joint cartilage in the rheumatiod version of joint degeneration
