Did anyone see it?

I was there.

Really? There were like 80 000 there rigth?

And what was up with sefos leg?

Posted by: kuso

Somewhere around that number.

I`d been talking with Sefo`s manager for a few weeks leading up to the event and Ray had actually dropped out due to a serious virus that had him in and out of hospital for three weeks( meaning obviously in bad shape and unable to train at all ).....on IV`s etc. Finally 4 or 5 days before the event K-1 requested that he try and fight anyway for his fans.

He`d injured his leg in training ( pre sickness ) and said it wasn`t too bad until the virus hit and then it just ballooned up and became very very painful.

I spoke to him after the fight and he was in a bad way. Looked almost asthmatic and was clearly not in any condition to fight.

Props to him for going out and giving his fans value for money

Kuso, you seem to know whats up.

How do you get to talk to sefo? I think I remember that you were commenting fights or something like that?

And I think that he shouldnt have fought... Def not giving the fans their moneys worth, he was just standing there getting kicked and acting like a clown to get the crowd going. Silly.
Instead I think williams should have gotten sefos place, he looked very good.

I report on K-1 etc and met Sefo`s manager online awhile back. He set me up and interview with Ray last September and I met them both in October, and then again a couple of weeks back. Both very classy guys.

All of Ray`s team and Ray himself think he shouldn`t have fought.....unfortunately for them his fans want to see him and he was one of only two or three that have the pulling power to put asses in seats.....the bottom line is $$$. The fans ( remember I mean local, as US ppv fans still mean very very little to K-1 in the total scheme of things ) cheered their asses off during every round and ate up his showmanship. He clearly gave everything he could give considering the condition he was in.

Carter is a great fighter and will one day be up near the top. Considering his two fights prior to the GP though he didn`t yet deserve to be there.

Yes he beat Bregy and did it very well. Things to consider though are while Carter LOOKED the little man standing next to Bregy, he still outweighed him by almost 20lb. Bregy also had a 39C temperature.

Carters future is very bright as I said. He just needs a little more K-1 experience before taking the next step.

And before you mention it, Botha shouldn`t have been there either.

Yupp, I guess you are rigth about everything above.

Now the only thing that bugs me is that Mushashi was out of breath even before the finals started. But I guess they cant wait for him to recuperate cuz its on tv or whatever. And Remy kinnda should be rewarded for his quarter/semi KOs.
