I turn 21 on January 18th. I really want to be at my goal for that occassion. I am about 15 pounds away from it. I was curious as to what you reccomend starting to get me there for my birthday. I know that low carb diets work but they say that most of the weight comes back. I eat clean now, I just know that it is not possible following the diet I am on now to loose more than 2 lbs. per week. If you reccomend low carb, how many carbs per day or should I try zero carbs. Like eat nothing but meat, eggs and cheese??

First off, Atkins isn't intended to be a "quick" diet, contrary what most think.

Secondly, don't you think it would be a better idea to stay the course with your more 'sensible' (I'm assuming here) diet plan and get healthier, lasting results over the long term?

Good luck.

Please read that sticky. It provides much better options for dieting than the Atkins diet which I would never recommend to anyone.

What would we do without stickies?

Then I would have to re-type it everytime someone asks about diet questions. I know people don't like it when i point them to stickies but doesn't it make much more sense to have that. This way we can compile all the info in one place and it can be read over and over. Its alot of work typing the same thing 5 times a day.

What about that Hollywood Diet? You can lose something like 10 pounds in 2 days by consuming nothing but this juice they provide that gives you like 800 calories per day.

Ditto to what DM said, your almost 21, you only have 15 lbs to lose, do it sensibly, just cut out some carbs and add some protein, good luck honey, and Happy pre-birthday.........

Oh to be 21 again....................but only with what I know now, lol

Really! Let's see, when I was 21 I was......married and making house payments.
Okay, so much for reminiscing.
