Originally posted by dodgyone I used to be really overweight a few years back and used to eat anything and everything without giving it a second thought. I never knew any better. It sounds pretty sad to say this but food no longer becomes a pleasure when you start bodybuilding. To me now it's all just carbs, protein and fat and how the food will be of benefit to me. Every nutritional label and ingredient list is scanned. If there is anything dodgy in it than more often then not it goes back on the shelf until I find something that looks more suitable. But, saying that I'm not sure if I'd like to go back to being overweight/unhealthy and happy, eating what I want. Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss though! I now have the knowledge and I'm trapped in this health kick roller coaster ride! |

Originally posted by once was fat Theres that voice that comes out and says fuck it Im going to eat what I want to eat. Then the guilt sets in and you end up putting that certain food back on the shelf somewhere else in the store. |

It's a challenge for me when my peers at work go to lunch. I am such a social person but just sit at my desk and eat my chx and broc. I know what the benefit will be for me in the long run. Oh yea and the fat pics in my purse are a good reminder too
