Question about my shoulder popping

When i lift my arms straight up above my head like doing a shoulder press. If i lift my arms straight back down, my shoulders pop. It does this with or without weight. I cant lift my arms above my head and bring them back down.
It doesnt hurt ( yet ) but it does limit me from doing shoulder presses and is annoying.
What is causing this? Is 1 muscle stronger than the other? And what can i work on so that this doesnt happen?

I can't remember the name of the muscle but it is a stabilizer by the rear delt that has to brought up in strength to hold your shoulder in proper alignment. I went to a trainer and he ahd me do stretches with a towel and light dumbbell workouts, almost like bent over rows. after a fews weeks of those everything went back to normal. long story short, yes one muscle is too strong for the other. Unless of course you have a history of injury. I would definitely checkit out before it gets worse shoulder injuries take you out of the game for a while.

thanx, i have a subscription to 24 fitness. Ill ask a PT what to work on. I can work on rows in the mean time. I never do those, and i do a lot of lat pulls, so that makes sense.

do you do any type of shoulder stretching and/or rotator cuff work?

Mine does it too. Try rotator cuff work with theraband and a light dunbell.
