Seriously, my motivation to train kinda subsides when I look at the snow falling in piles and the figures dropping below 30 on the television weather forecast...this weather is absolutely inhuman, and I missed yesterday's workout because of it

Peace.

dude i live in state college, its in the mountains and i'm a college student with no car. it was 4 degrees last night but windchill made it feel like -20. I was gonna do cardio last night but there was no way in hell i was gonna walk to my gym in that weather.

Posted by: atherjen

it was -30F here for the last 4 days or so... it was torture walking to the gym (20mins one way) but I was too bored to just sit around. lol
glad today is warmer, 20F. thank goodness. no more dead fingers and toes.. and no risk of having my nose freezing together when I breathe!

Posted by: Premo55

My fingers have cuts on them from the weather...they basically freeze up then get uffed up when I put them around a bar...needleess to say that impacted my deadlifts yesterday...man, today is shoulders/traps day and I really don't feel like trudging to the gym in this 24 inch snow...

Peace.

24 inches?? yikes!!! I hope we dont get that much. supposed to start snowing tonite. I have cardio to be done after work! I dont feel like tramping through a ton of snow on the walk home!

I hate winter in Toronto. It's the only time of the year where I care more about staying warm all the time than training or staying active. I hate it.

Peace.

Yeah I'm from Toronto too, but I'm taking a weight trianing course at my school, so I gotta go there anyways. Doesn't make a difference to me.

Thank God I live in Cali.....though I wish I was back in Nor Cal.

I'm feelin for all you that dont drive to the gym... that must really be a pain. More than the weather directly effecting me, it effects my mood. Its so gloomy out here in Northern IL that I never feel like doin anything. Is there a mental condition for somone who's mood is very affected by the weather? cuz i prob have it heh.

The weather is not making me lazy, my genetic make-up makes me lazy.

I hear ya, man. January has been a tough month for me. It started with the flu Xmas week. It took me two weeks to fully get over that and my workouts just haven't recovered. It's kind of hard to motivate yourself to get up at 5:00 AM to work out when you know it's negative degrees outside and you hear the wind howling. But, I am getting back on track now. Three weeks of lousy workouts won't derail a man that much. "Luckily", I haven't been eating a lot, so I have not gained any weight.

Hey, I'm from Chandler, AZ, The weather doesn't get much better than here. I actually get kinda lazy in the summers here, because its too damn hot to do anything, and after awhile my pool gets to like 95 degrees.
