(CLICK HERE here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I did a really really heavy Bicep and tricep day... im talking like 2 hours of just arms... I guess it was a bad idea because everytime i turn my wrist it pops all through my arm... like POP!! its pretty loud. and it sounds like it crunching real bad... Any one had this problem... and what should I do?

Posted by: Just a guy

I also had on weightlifting gloves... Might not of had them tight enough..

Posted by: Mudge

If you do 2 hours for arms are you doing like 5 for legs? Thats nuts man. I can snap my wrists just like I can crack my knuckles but I wouldn't know what caused it, unless you feel like blaming winstrol.

aww i'm starting to feel bad for winstrol -- get's picked on alot.

Posted by: Just a guy

im sayin... it hurts everytime it pops..

Posted by: DFINEST

Go see your doctor

Posted by: Just a guy

dunno if its serious enough for that... but i will keep it in mind

Posted by: crackerjack414

get an X ray and dont do anything till u know whats wrong, dont let your ego trick u into trying to push through the pain it will cause more injuries in the end trust me this has happened to me a couple of times

Posted by: Just a guy

well i ordered some Grip gloves from www.newgrip.com

Supposed to be really good for your wrists... tell me what u think

Posted by: Just a guy

i'll prolly go to the doc as soon as my health insurance is back

Posted by: crackerjack414

id go light then and not push anything and try to work around them

Posted by: darklight

I think i know what you mean by the POPing sound...
happens to me when doing Upright Row with bar, but i don't have any pain! See a doctor... i had a big tendinitis (my first and my last one) last year training triceps, caused by turning my back to weak symptoms!
Reduce your lifting maybe by some 30%! Better, see a doctor! A sport doctor... (don't know how you call) It will help you also with your lifting percentage!

And if there's pain, there's anything that is wrong.... Bad Execution or injury there. Good workout gives you no pain! (Just the next day )

I agree with mudge, if you'r doing 2 hrs for arms you should dedicate a few hours for legs or back... unless you have a very little arm work comparing to the legs... but then you should start first with shoulders!

Posted by: Just a guy

See... I do one body part a day.... thats good for getting in more sets.... thats just how i do it.... well look.. its not cracking today (not nearly as much) And only hurting a little... today is chest day so i will see what happens... if anything fuqs up i will go to the doc. And WHY should u do alot more on legs than arms? To tell you the truth i NEVER do legs.... never.. im a upper body kind of a guy... i know i need to start training my legs... just havent yet.

Posted by: JLB001

You could have just strained them...I mean two hours of just arms is a lil much.

Posted by: DrChiro

It really depends on specifically where the popping is as to what it might be.
when did it start (after a specific motion)?
where is the popping exactly and what motion exactly makes it pop?
If you answer these questions hopefully I can tell you what it may be or at least if it is serious enought o consider a doctors visit.

Nothing worse than an injury that messes with your training...my girl has a messed up knee at the moment and she is pissed she cant do cardio or legs!
(and 2 hours of arms is way too much for anybody!)

Posted by: Mudge

Even the magazines that post those stupid 50 set arm articles, will have the bodybuilder later come out and honestly say he was not involved with the article at all, they ghost write that bullshyt.

Example would be Troy Zuccoloto only doing 5 sets for calves and the article had him doing 20+

Posted by: Just a guy

ok if i twist my wrist from side to side it goes POP... like if i turn it as far as i can to the right and then to the left it pops in between the movements... it pops in different movements too.... the main thing is the pain... its not too bad... because i put 375 on the bench today and did it like 8 times... with no problems... i just made my weight gloves Very Very tight around the wrist... I could possibly think that it all started because of straight bar curls... because when i 1st started doing them... i couldnt because it hurt to bad.... i hope that is enough Info... and it possibly could of happen doing 1 arm curls with a 70lbs dumbbell that i was Force repping with the other hand suporting the other if i didnt think i could get it up.

Posted by: Just a guy

yeh i did about 20+ sets on bi ceps... and about 15 or 16 on triceps

Posted by: Just a guy

i can barely grasp my wrist to flex my bicep if u can visualize that one

Posted by: Mudge

Benching 465 now huh?

Posted by: Just a guy

close to it... i got about 5 or 6 by my self other 3 were spotted

That's crazy

Posted by: TheRoyalOne

You really need to be carefull with wrist injuries, or any injuries for that matter. I hurt my wrist on my heavy bag a few months ago. After a couple of days with a brace on, I thought I was fine so I started on the bag again. BAD IDEAL! I ended up in pain for about 8 weeks. Even picking up my laptop hurt. With a hurt wrist, now is the perfect time to start your leg workout.

I know how she feels. I have a messed up knee......Doctor says I'm not allowed to do squats anymore.......

No kidding!!!!!! Why do people think that by working out longer than an hour has any benefit?

Posted by: Just a guy

i have this illusion that if i quit working out my upperbody that it is going to disappear... im serious... im really worried about that.... u think i should just quit using my arms at all???

Posted by: BabsieGirl

No, just use your head and be careful. Listen to your body. I'm sure during the work out, your wrists were hurting and, you continued to train...Am I right?

If so, you didn't listen to your body and now you've delayed the process/progress. All because of an illusion.

Posted by: Just a guy

actually no... my wrists didnt hurt till after wards... i would have quit if they were hurting

Posted by: Just a guy

i have had to cut short chest days because of my shoulder hurting to bad... my elbow was hurting about 3 weeks ago... then it stopped... just hoping that this will 2

Posted by: BabsieGirl

Well, I'm sorry that happened to you. But whatever the case may be.....listen to your body and remember, 1 hour is enough.....2 hours is over kill

Posted by: Just a guy

but im goin to see the doc when my insurance is back up

Posted by: BabsieGirl

Good idea

Posted by: Just a guy

dunno... i just have phantom pains all the time... Its always something with me... im constantly complaining of pain... but i still work out as hard as i can

Posted by: BabsieGirl

How old are you?

Posted by: Just a guy

19

Posted by: BabsieGirl

Whoa......That's awful young to having all these problems.

Seeing that you've posted in the juice room. Are you using?

Posted by: Just a guy

yup... 1,000mg's of Test and 600mg's of Equipoise and some winstrol

Posted by: Just a guy

dont know if i can blame the winstrol on this or not...

Posted by: BabsieGirl

Hmm......I would talk to Mudge about that stuff. He seems to know a lot about those supps. From what I've been learning here...Winstrol is not for you.

See a doctor about your pains and, be sure to be honest with him/her about the things you're taking. And, one more thing.........pitch that Winstrol!!!!!!!! It's no good and you'll continue to have problems....Do it now before it's too late!

Posted by: Mudge

If he is truly benching like that though he has gained an insane amount of strength in a short time span, that + winstrol sounds like HELL to me.

Accutane + anadrol for me became my own little hell, I was getting too strong for my britches and I'm not doing a clean 400 anything press unless its decline bench.

My wrists didn't bother me much but it is understandable when putting the body under that kind of weight, my problems were bicep tendons, and elbow joints (later knees a little bit).

Before I took time off + started deca/glucosamine + chondroitin, I could hardly drive home it was THAT bad, very painfull.

Accutane and winstrol both are listed as degenerative to connective tissue and both dry you out, plus high doses of testosterone are already inhibitive of collagen synthesis. I dont compete so winstrol use just seems stupid to me, now for those with Ben Johnson like genetics go for it, but for me I will stay away from that crap.

Accutane is bad enough but at least I got something from it, winstrol can easily be substituted IMO for any other oral and frankly I'd rather have something that puts some size on me, I am not looking to model for Calvin Klein.

Posted by: Just a guy

well no... i have never attempted 465 on bench i have done 425... i could probably get 440..

Posted by: Just a guy

but before i started taking roids i could not... i meen could not get past 205... that was 7 months ago

Posted by: Just a guy

errr... i just remembered that i registered here when i started roids.. or rite before.. so thats like 5 or 6 months

Posted by: Mudge

Thats what I'm saying man, those are tremendous gains, when I started I was doing a 265 bench.

So august doesn't even count.

September, October, November, December, January - 5 months, roughly 150 days.

Roughly 250 pounds on the bench, 11.6 pounds a week. This is about what I do on Anadrol @ 100mg a day, 10 pounds every 5 days.

Posted by: Just a guy

so u think im over doin it? i meen i feel fine... and my blood tests are decent... its just my bones are killin me

Posted by: Mudge

I seriously wonder how a person adjusts to a 900 pound bench press man, its inhuman. You have more than doubled your strength in a claimed 5 months, that doesn't sound like madness to you? Nothing comes for free brother, everything has a price. While your muscles may be there, your tendons and bones are not. I dont know what your calcium intake is, but people have broken bones lifting, although tendons I would fear much more.

You "feel fine" but your "bones are killing you"

Contradiction man, listen to your body before you do something you regret.

Posted by: Just a guy

yeh... Its just i feel like im not growing enough... i guess thats wierd to say huh.... i keep pushing... waiting for some definition to show.... So far my arms are pretty defined... kinda... i just cant figure out what i want... so i push the limit as much as possible.... And the reason i work out So hard is because of that Need motivation? thing on your Sig mudge... i read everyone of those articals that say intensity or insanity? so thats what i try to do...... Im gonna get a digital camera today so maybe i can post a pic

Posted by: Just a guy

today my wrists dont hurt so bad

Posted by: Mudge

Food is what makes you grow man, that is my problem right now. I am having a hard time eating past 4500 calories for some reason, so I am trying to find foods easier to eat.

Today for meal #3 I had:

400 calories banana milk
680 calories of ham and cheese hot pockets
3 donuts

My strength is more than previously, but without the calories I am not even as big as I was when I was weaker. I need food, food food food. You can take all the drugs you want but you can rest assured Ronnie Coleman eats more than 3k calories a day

Posted by: Just a guy

so ur sayin that i can not still build muscle if i cut my calories and carbs but protein intake is still at 400g's

Posted by: Just a guy

just seems like the protein could do that... I meen shit im already strong enough... and bulked up enough... i should prolly lower my doseage... i dunno what to do... soooooo confused

Posted by: Mudge

You need raw calories to gain bodyweight, no matter where it comes from. You can gain weight on sugar, protein - whatever, as long as your caloric count is in surplus.

I am on 1050 cypionate and 525 deca and 700mg anadrol (weekly totals here), I can lose weight on this stack without any problems bro, drugs dont make you gain weight past a certain extent. For an AIDS patient they just need something to give them a normalized RBC count, for us we are already "normal" and looking for more than that.

Past a couple initial pounds of water weight, I never gain anything from gear without eating. I have a stubborn body and it all comes down to diet diet diet.

Gain a pound a week, 500 calories a day. Gain 2 pounds a week, roughly 1000 calories over mainteance per day. Obviously maintenance changes as you gain weight.

Posted by: Just a guy

what do you think i should do mudge... I dont want to lose any muscle... but i would like to still build... but lose some fat... well alot of fat

Posted by: Mudge

Start buying books on diet. I am reading Dan Duchaine's Bodyopus, good stuff so far.

Posted by: DEEPSEA

Listen to MUDGE.
U are pushing your body TOO HARD. Sorry to say..U are gonna pull or tear something at the least.
Not tryin to flmae u but I would be willing to bet u didnt have a strong, solid enuff foundation to build this "brick-shit-house" upon.
That is why u see ppl. recommending guys hit the gym naturally for about 2 yrs b-4 they consider juicin.
I hope nothin worse happens to u but sorry...sounds like it WILL.

Posted by: Mudge

Bouncer had a pec and lat tear (not complete seperation) with 225 on the incline, and I have heard of a more severe pec tear with as little as 365 on the flat.

Posted by: Just a guy

wow... well i hope not man... nah im built for this shit cuz... my dad was a beast all natural benching 300 in highschool in the 60's... he got best physique all 4 years of highschool... my genetics are cool... i figured out WHY my wrists are cracking... its because i was doing WAY too many Straight bar curls.....
\
See when i 1st started lifting i could not do The straight bar curls because my wrist would hurt violently exactly where it hurts right now... i have flexibility problems... that is all... i cant even reach in my back pocket for a dollar without my Side cramping up.... I cant put my hands behind my head.... people say.. christ son... let some air out... im not walking with no air in or trying to walk big... i have too..

Posted by: Mudge

Not to put him down, but at my nerdly high school we had plenty of 300+ benchers, and we got our asses kicked from the next school over. It was sure better than what I did, but I dont know how beastly that is when there are 15 year olds benching into the 600 range now.

If you believe your genetics are so great, what was up with the 205 bench? Lazy training? I remember a skinny kid who was benching 170 his freshman year, no training. I was doing a paultry 150 for a couple reps.

Those cramps are from lack of water, accutane did that to me.

Posted by: Randy

What kind of question is that Babsie
Are you using @ 465lbs bench 6 times and 19 .

Well there are lots of big guys that can do that naturally, but I wouldn't say the numbers are overwelming

A friend of mine who juiced in the 70s and 80s, knew someone who could put up 495x3 and never trained a day in his life, and he was white. My friend however is samoan and chinese.

Nope. In fact, BDTR says at high doses it gives him pain, and that boy knows his juice.

Is that you Mudge? Damn, look at all those new tatoos

Posted by: Mudge

Not me, I have only seen about 3 guys in my gym like that, one of them a bit bigger for his height though and leaner.

Posted by: Randy

Yeah, wish I had that size. But I'm sure that guy was juicin.

Posted by: Mudge

If he didn't admit it we would have never known. Not only does he juice but he is a suspension freak, shooting himself 3x a day is his idea of fun.

Seriously he is an animal, I wonder if he shoots into his neck for kicks while sticking his tongue out and screaming.

Ever see that old man on American Chopper...He has some pretty big guns for an old man.

But the motorcycles that they build are phenomenal
