I recently heard that if you take 2 tylenol before going to the gym, you will have increased energy and be able to lift more weight! I think this is complete BS, is there any truth to this?

I've heard a lot of myths but this one takes the cake! Excedrin maybe, because of the caffine but Tylenol, I seriously doubt it.

increased energy and greater strength. sounds like bull, maybe you'll achieve greater intensity because of a greater pain threashold, but you can just take caffeine for that.

No increased energy but it will put a strain on your liver.
Aspirin maybe, you could use kids aspirin - it will thin the blood but it has nothing directly to do with energy.

probably this came about since tylonol is a pain reliever. if your just wanting something to help with pain ibuprohen seems to be the drug of choice from doctors
