In a large heavy pot over medium heat, cook onion and garlic until onions are translucent. Introduce turkey and cook, stirring, until meat is brown. Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil and vinegar. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 60 minutes or more, until flavors are well blended.

one of the foods i bought today at the farmers market, black beans !!
they have the highest amount of protein of any bean, im eager to switch to these instead of red beans.

i let the beans sit in water overnight, next day i boiled them,
sautteed garlic and onions and added to the beans
then made an egg white omellete, put it in a whole wheat flat burritto roll and put some of the black beans in it !!! EXCELLENT
