Do you mean cool down?
Is this for cardio or for weights? After a high intense cardio session I always do a cool down, it helps recovery. After my weight training I just stretch

same, after cardio I will do a short cool down... slower pace. and then stretch. I always stretch post weight training as well.

You should do a cool down after cardio and weight-lifting
Just like warming up b4 your workout you should do some light cardio to get your blood flowing after your workout, and then stretch or youll become tight
is very bad

I don't cool down after weight lifting, but I do cool down after doing cardio. I think it is especially important with HIIT cardio. My last few minutes of cardio consist of 1 minute of near-sprinting, 1 minute of jogging, then 1 minute of above-average paced walking.

I hear light stretching is good for you after a workout.

Yeh I did mean cool down *smacks head*, thanks guys. I ask because yesterday I did some of the heaviest lifting I've done and today my triceps are pretty sore...so I think a cool down is in order

Check out cycles for pennies by DC in the anabolicminds forum. His post workout stretching is more intense than the actual workout itself. I tried it and it was tearing down my face from strain.
